THE SUSTAINABLE CITIES ROUND TABLE

The Energy to Change

6-8pm, Wednesday 20 May 2009

Village Roadshow Theatrette, Entry 3, La Trobe Street, State Library of Victoria

Proudly presented by the Victorian Eco-Innovation Lab and The State Library of Victoria

In this Sustainable Cities Round Table we will consider energy – such as renewable energy types, their distribution and systems alternatives. We’ll also take it further to consider how we can mitigate energy losses, implement greater uptake of more sustainable options and ultimately conserve the energy within ourselves to make sure that these changes take place!

Guest speakers include: Brad Shone & Jason Cox, Moreland Energy Foundation; Ralph Horne, RMIT University; Faye Adams, Manningham City Council; Michael Ambrose, CSIRO; Tim Forcey, Bayside Climate Change Action Group; Marie Andrews, Kildonan Uniting Care; Ken Guthrie, Sustainability Victoria; Andrew Lawson, MBD Energy Ltd; & Simon Holmes a’ Court, Hepburn Wind.

We love a full house so please come along and bring your friends! We’ll provide 3 minute snapshots of innovative initiatives on energy, a chance to meet like-minded interesting others, an exhibition of the Human Signs (including the recent St Kilda beach snap), music, wine and much more! It’s smart and snappy, free and very environmentally ‘in’!

Hope to see you there!
